SGRT and Hexapod 6DoF couch

We are expanding our use of SGRT to SRS (non-coplanar) and other head and neck which we also use the Elekta Hexapod 6 DoF couch and iGuide software. Has anyone got any experience of the challenges and benefits of using this combination?

For example is it possible to use the ‘send to couch’ function with iGuide for non-coplanar treatments?

Thanks

i don’t know iGuide / hexapod but we use 6dof on truebeam - not for SRS but for a number of other sites. it works well as SGRT is 6dof too. i would recommend discussing with your clin app about the specifics for example your last question

Hi Colin,

We use hexapod at B for all our head and neck patients, floor is always at 0 and open face masks. We have no problem with occlusions during treatment with the imaging arms in. We don’t use ‘Send to Couch’ at set up, but i don’t see why it wouldn’t work. If you want more info i can always ask our physicist.
