QA in Service Mode (True Beam)

Hi there,

Question for any True Beam users out there. We typically would have always done our machine QA in service mode on the True Beam. However, when I’m in service mode on the True Beam, I can’t use the Align RT system because it requires the True Beam to be in Treatment mode for the ADI/gating connection. This still happens even when I use the “QA User” on Align RT. Is this the case for all True Beams and if so, how are people doing Static Localization QA? From my knowledge, I can only change the pitch and roll in service mode so therefore I can’t test those unless I switch off the gating configuration.

we use treatment mode to do the winston lutz test and a 6dof couch test as we analyse the images using suncheck from sun nuclear. QA that doesn’t directly use alignRT we mostly do in machine qa major mode, because we were told service mode can behave differently in terms of what dose it delivers for the first beam

we do however use service mode for some things, but i think only things where we want align to go into auto authorise mode
