Lung SABR Immobilisation

I’m currently reviewing our immobilisation practices in the era of SGRT, particularly for lung SABR patients.

I’m really interested to hear what your centre is currently using for lung SABR (e.g. wingboard only, type of vacbag), and whether SGRT has changed your approach over time.

Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated — thanks in advance.

Looking forward to see future results from Peter Mac!

Hi Lauren, our current standard of care for Lung SABR is a personalised vacbag. This was in place prior to using SGRT, and to date we have not changed our stabilisation practices for these patients. We are currently undertaking a project to establish if SGRT can replace personalised stabilisation and instead use a standard stabilisation like our CDR arms up module. We will definitely be sharing our results once we have completed the project.
